Few bikes are as instantlyrecognizable as the Schwinn ‘banana seat’ bike. Ever since the Schwinn Stingraylaunched in 1963, the bikes have held a place in bicycle and even pop culture.In the late 60’s, Schwinn introduced the Krates which at the time were the topof the line Stingray models which featured bright colors that inspired the name.

AMT’s original 1/8 scalemodel kit of the Stingray Krate was only released in 1972.  This is the first time in nearly 50 years thatthe kit has been re-released.
